Sing, Sing A Song | WS # 14

I used to sing every night. In fact few hours every night, seven times a week. But that was few years ago. I was a singer, that was my job and passion.

These days I have to be lucky to find a time to sing. I must admit that I do miss it but when there’s so much work that needs to be done, I can’t even think of singing.

How I wish I can sing again..with all gusto. But what about you, do you like to sing?

This is my Samson GTrack Microphone, just waiting for me to use again.

Farthest Eyeball Popper

WHO: Kim Goodman

WHAT: 12 mm (0.47 in)

WHERE: Istanbul, Turkey

WHEN: November 2, 2007

Kim Goodman (USA) can pop her eyeballs to a protrusion of 12 mm (0.47 in) beyond her eye sockets. Her eyes were measured in Istanbul, Turkey, on November 2, 2007.

——————————–

Ms. Goodman is the current Guinness World of record holder in this category. I think I have huge eyes that sometimes I even scare myself when I open them real wide while looking in the mirror.

I think if Ms. Goodman will do this in front of me, I’d run as fast as I could!

If top Chefs can, I can too!

Or at least I think I can.

I am referring to food preparation at home. I am far from being called a chef, well unless when I’m at home then I feel like one because I am the only one who cooks our meals.. I always make sure that what I bring out on the table will not only taste good but by just looking at it, ‘would make you taste it immediately.

I guess I love plating. Since I worked in top hotels for years (not as a chef nor anything near that) I got used to seeing beautiful dishes served to clients. That ‘s why when I started to self- learn cooking (quite late I might add, just 8 years ago when I gave it a go) I also learned presenting meals in ways that anyone who would try it will not easily forget what they have eaten.

This was the 3rd dish I served last Christmas dinner:

Claridges Chicken Pie which was inspired by the English chef Gordon Ramsay

I might sound that I’m giving my own shoulder some patting, but according to my husband and dad in law who are picky eaters, this was one pretty good. If you want to get the recipe, simply click THIS.

I guess being the cook and photographer at the same time will sometimes take its toll…I was not really satisfied with this photo.

LIFE sometimes is like a maze

maze.png<

Note: Life sometimes is like a maze, complex system of paths or tunnels in which it is easy to get lost. Have you ever felt at times that you’re in maze? That no matter how hard you try to reach the end of the tunnel, the more it gets harder to find it…

But what is life without a maze? Without the challenges?

How addicted to blogging are you?

This was another meme passed to me by Gbex (again..and all to my 3 blogs) the second meme within 3 days…wala ka naman galit sa akin di ba? *lol* …anyway, I told him that I need not take this test to know the answer because I am addicted to blogging. But I must also add that my blogging habits has become ‘worse’? since I started doing sponsored entries. Now that my page ranks were stripped, I am still trying to find out if it (blogging) will be lessen…

anyhowkalabao, here’s the result of the test:

87%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

Find a Ultrasound school near you

I’m kinda disappointed because it only gave an 87% result….how horrible!! I was expecting at least a -A!

well, I don’t think that I will tag anybody, just feel free to do the test if you feel like it.

See you next year! | WS entry #13

I was referring to our Christmas tree which I dismantled this afternoon. Every year when I do that, I always get a mixture of feelings. That Christmas is over. That I will have to wait for another +11 months to see the tree again. I’m already missing the lights and ornaments.

On the other other I’m also relieved that the tree is gone because it’s taking a big part of our small living room. Now it’s back to normal around our living room.

What about you, have you already taken your tree down?

Post Christmas dinner entry ..part 1

I have been planning on posting our Christmas dinner which I prepared but my timing was always off. Only now that I got the chance so I’ll try to at least post the first two courses on our little menu that evening.

Christmas dinner for me and my little family – that’ll be my husband, my dad in law and I – is important. It has always been just the 3 of us every year so dinner has to be interesting that’s why I always try my best to come up with a special menu each year. This year I consulted Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Cookbook for the first course which was

LANGOUSTINE COCKTAIL , you may find the recipe HERE

langoustine.jpg

and for the second course, I made…

PRAWN CROUSTADE recipe you will find HERE

my husband had to laugh because i wasn’t only a cook but our photographer as well during special dinners like this. But I don’t mind. I love doing both, cooking and taking photos.

well, this is a short entry….MAY YOU ALL HAVE A FINE WEEKEND…GOD BLESS!!

Children at play

I still am a kid at heart. I still love to play these days even if it’s limited to hand movements only (playstation.) Though I still love the outdoor activities, I’m afraid I can no longer do some of them like..

I can still remember the hours at school (many years ago) with my classmates during breaks, we would take out our jumping ropes or garters and we’d group in twos to play against each other. I was so active as a child, loved to compete, and I loved winning!
Ah, jumping rope during that time was one of my favorites. Unlike now, physical activities are limited if a kid (or adult) wants to play, to only fingers movements because of those gadgets.

What a big difference, isn’t it?
