Triple fun!

While waiting for my husband to come home from visiting my father in law, I decided to bring Charlie upstairs in my small office/ studio. I wanted to practise portraiture and lighting.
With this session I used an old gift wrapping paper as background and a single lamp focused on Charlie’s left side. RAW mode shooting. And played further by doing a B&W and sepia tones.

Late ang LP entry ko this week kasi nasa computer hospital pa rin ang laptop ko pati files ng photos 
Kaya nagpasya na lang ako na linisin ang aking opisina slash mini studio slash exercise room na rin. Mayroong desktop sa kuartong yun pero pang trabaho lang at kung maari ay hindi ko gagamitin pang online activities. kaso binigyan ako ng idea ng ‘anak’ ko habang nakikiusyoso sya sa paglilinis ko!
Kasama sa paglilinis ko ay ang pag set-up ng softbox na nabili ko sa eBay. 2 ang ilaw ko pero isa lang muna ang binili ko para subukan kung maganda ang kwalidad nito. Imbes na maghanap ako ng pisikal na numero (papel o kahon na may numero) para kuhanan ng larawan ay si Charlie- usisero ang ipinatong ko sa kahon, tinapatan ng mga ilaw at presto, ang aking modelo para sa challenge ng LP!
Palagay ko sadyang si CHARLIE talaga ang nakalaang maging topic/ entry pic ko sa Huwebes na ito. Bakit kamo? Kasi ay malapit na ang kanyang ika ANIM (6) na kaarawan! Ito ay sa ika 10 ng Hunyo. Ilang taon ba sa edad ng tao kung 6 sa aso?
Anyhowkalabaw, ito ang kinalabasan ng aming eksperimento. Palibhasa ay napakaliit ng aking kuarto (sabihin ko kaya sa asawa ko na lumipat kami ng bahay? he he) kaya kung napapansin nyo ang softbox ay malapit sa kanya (makikita ang reflection sa mata) at sa kabilang mata naman ay makikita ang ilaw na walang softbox kaya medyo ‘harsh’ ang tama ng ilaw samantalang ‘soft’ ang kaliwang parte.
Sa itaas na litrato ay medyo inis sya kasi nakapatong sya sa may kataasan na box at gustong bumaba na. Sabi ko ‘zit’ (sit) muna sya. Umupo nga kaso lalong pumangit dahil nakasimangot! Saka malalaman na inis sya kapag flat ang ulo at walang wrinkles! E di syempre kailangan magbago facial expression nya, bah, umaandar ang oras sa studio di ba? ha ha!
Solusyon? Simple lang. Kapag tinatanong sya ng “Waar is papa?” (where is dad?) o kaya ay “Waar is mama?” (where is mom?) ay lumalabas ang kanyang softer facial expression! Wala pa syang 1 year old ay alam na nyang few words na yan at ngayong almost 6 years old na sya ay sadyang marami syang mga salitang naiintindihan. Minsan ay napapakamot kami ng ulo dahil para syang tao. sayang at hindi sya nakakapagsalita, kundi tyak ang saya siguro lalo!
Ang haba na. Sana naman ay nagustuhan nyo ang aking LP entry. Huli man daw ay cute pa rin
Kanyang Pamilya (LP 106)

Nagtatrabaho para kumita ng pera. Kahit anong klaseng trabaho ay gagawin dahil mayroon siyang misyon sa buhay.
May pinaglalaanan ng kanyang kinikita. Maliit man o malaki ay kanya itong kailangan.
Dahil para sa kanya ay importante ang kanyang pamilya. Babae. Ina. Banat ang buto at masipag, ito ay likas na sa kanya.
Maganda araw ng Litratong Pinoy sa inyong lahat!

beauty and the beast. go figure which is which

Yesterday, with the sun shining (hurray!) I went back to check on the flower that I photographed the day before. I thought of capturing it daily until it opens completely.
Well, yesterday it was still in (almost) same state. But I did found something attached to it…this tiny spidey’s web. I think it took me almost 10 minutes just to capture them both in a single frame. The wind wasn’t helping at all and I was doing it manually, camera handheld…and you know how it is when shooting macro handheld. I thought I was gonna cry from frustration but I held my ground, hah! *beat that you drama queen you!*
Beauty in the dark.

In life , sometimes we just have to make the best of it. Or make that decision to. I don’t believe that you have to seek happiness from others. Happiness comes from within.
I’m a lot happier when the sun shines. Can you imagine living in a country where the sun isn’t always around?
Thus, I have learned to find beauty in places void of sun. Beauty that make me happy. Like this flower that I found at the back of our garden. I ‘m not sure what it was, whether it’s just sprung there or we planted it in the past.
All I know is that it caught my eyes. It made me smile. And I know it will continually make me smile now that I have it frozen, it will never wither.

I was browsing through my old photo files and found these two which I took back in 2008. On the way to the city of Rotterdam, we parked our car near the river. The sun was shining that day, just before 1 pm in the afternoon. I noticed that the water which was usually greenish in color was darker, giving out those pretty sparkles! I would usually use my cross filter to get the sparkling effect but I didn’t had to that afternoon.
Perhaps not beautiful to others but these certainly belong to my favorite bunch! The wonder of elements in full action. I just needed to be there with my camera

Dogs as pets have never been so popular than ever! Thanks to many hollywood stars who paraded dogs, of all sizes, everywhere where the paparazzis are. But I must be honest, most of these hollywood have genuine love for their dogs, or so I feel. Just like ordinary people like you and me. Dogs do make a family complete, many say. Dogs give love to their masters under any circumstances, unconditional love. That’s why they also deserve to be treated with love, showered with it even. After all, unlike humans, dogs will remain faithful until the end of its life, that’s a sweet fact.
Because our dogs are considered part of the family, we take them wherever we go, if possible. Visiting other family members or on vacation, dogs are there. That is why it’s important to keep them safe during traveling. If you are bringing your dog to other places and hasn’t done this yet, I suggest you do. What is happening to our weather? We’re supposed to be enjoying the (almost) end of spring here in Holland but all we’re getting are rains, gray skies and cold temperature. Thick winter jackets were taken out the closet and being used again. It’s crazy!
Weeks ago I have planned to plant summer plants in the garden but because of this weather, well our garden is empty, void of wonderful colors that I long to see, if possible the whole year round.
I’m glad I have photos in my files such as this to look at, to enjoy.
Ah, why is the sun not shining when it’s supposed to?
