I bought a bunch a lovely roses last week at the market that are still standing as of this writing. Not just standing but still looking beautiful! This bunch has a classic red color that I seldom see that when I first saw them, I immediately ‘fell in love’ and i knew I had to buy them. Well, I’m still getting the pleasure of looking at them as I look at the center table in our living room. But I also wanted to capture their beauty, even after their long withered and gone so I….
Took one rose and decided to do bubble series. While waiting for the bubbles to settle, with my Canon 5Dm2 aimed and waiting on the side, I grabbed my ever faithful iPhone4S and just happily press the shutter a few times, angling at the bottom portion of the rose.
I was actually quite happy with the results, although the iphonecamera did not capture the classic red color of it, it did gave this rose another beautiful color…….thanks to the light (not ambient, it was gray outside so I used my softboxes) I think I kinda like the ones I shot with my iPhone than the ones shot with my dslr, lol!
I’m back from our much needed vacation…but I’m not really excited to be back home to be honest.
I miss Thailand! I miss sunshine, the beach, food, warm weather….bring me back to Thailand please!
If only that easy, and affordable, my husband and I would pack our suitcases again and fly directly to Asia, in a hearbeat!
This dutch autumn and cold temperature is bringing me down…..*sigh*
Things that I just can’t stand looking at are creepy creatures like ants (colonies of them, argh!) , wasps flying around (because I got stung in the past and that was one painful experience ) maggots ( feels like they’re creeping down my neck and arms, argh!! ) , worms, dirty toilets (self explanatory, right?) and….
This photo of a kiwi submerged in bubbly water! Somehow it makes the hair at the back of my neck stand, argh!
But still, I like this image…..I used Canon5DMII and Sigma 105mm for this shot.
This is a sports complex opposite the hospital where my husband and I went to this morning to get our vaccines since we plan to do some traveling in the future.
We arrived early so we lingered a bit in the parking area where I took this shot. The clouds were pretty awesome this morning so I quickly aimed my iPhone to the sky. And then I remember a filter that I was wearing! Yeah, you read it right, I was wearing a filter, lol!
I did not apply any filter app for this shot but used my Polaroid sunglasses in front of the camera to get this effect. Pretty cool, èh?
I had fun shooting this one. Unfortunately I can’t identify this flower’s name but this was a small one which I cut from a bouquet my husband has bought me few days ago.
I am enjoying a lot using different objects to shoot for this ‘carbonated’ art. Although my eyes are failing me (I really really need a new Rx!) I simply do not let that stop me from creating cool bubbly images.
So what do you think? Do you like it?
I post processed this on my iPad.
