A part of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat model that can be found in Grand Palace, Bangkok Thailand.

Angkor Wat (or Angkor Vat) ,  is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation—first Hindu, dedicated to Vishnu, then Buddhist. The temple is the epitome of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country’s prime attraction for visitors.

I saw this flower for the first time last year, during a trip to The Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. I guess I fell in love with this flower because I really find it unique in appearance and the kind that you don’t find in many countries. It is said that this flower grow in India particularly in their places of worship but the monks in Thailand are also proud of this flower. Our Thai tuor guide calls its tree as ‘monk tree’.

A shame it only grows in tropical lands, otherwise I would have moved heaven & earth just to have seeds to plant in our backyard. I’m glad I have photos to remember them by.

Don’t you find it interesting?

you'll be fine....

My heart missed a beat when I saw you in that alley
Motionless, seemed not breathing at all
I whispered ‘Kitty, kitty, kitty’

Slowly you opened your eyes and walked towards me
You liked me scratching behind your ears
I had to leave you, it wasn’t easy
But I know you’ll be fine Kitty
You’ll be fine……

This post is way overdue because there was no internet connection in my apartment in the Philippines. But I ‘m now in Thailand, (2nd part of my vacation) and requested a connection in my room thus I immediately uploaded this shot which I took yesterday when we visited (again) the Grand Palace in Bangkok. I said ‘again ‘ because we were there last year but I accidentally deleted all my photos thus I requested for another palace trip. It was raining and the sky was really dark. The part which I did not like. I was really looking forward to a blue clear sky for this trip but what what do we have as of this writing? This sky.

Grand Palace, BKK

gotta go! baka lumaki butas ng ilong ng mister ko at nag iinternet ako during our vacation, utang muna bisita sa mga blogs nyo ha, dear LP members! * muah*

Quite late but still, hereś my entry for LP, MITHI (wish). My entryś late because I don’t have internet connection, argh!

Sunset at MOA

You must be wondering why I have chosen this sunset image as my wish entry. Quite simple. I seldom witness sunset in Holland! Aside from living far from the sea, I seldom see orange sky. And capturing sunset was really an utmost wish. This was taken by the seaside at MOA (Mall Of ASia,Phil.) two days ago, when some of my friends and I were waiting for the fireworks which is held on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm. Though we were not able to capture the sun itself and dark clouds enveloped the sky due to rain pour earlier, I was really happy that I was able to get my simple wish.

This is my interpretation of this weekś theme  which I think was timely since I’m  currently on vacation (my true liwaliw after 4 years since last visit.) My chosen pictures were taken from the planeś window. That plane which flew me back to the Philippines.

The sky was a bit gloomy that flight day.

KLM

Like clouds were being slashed (by the wing) Few minutes after take off.

Hot, dark (sky, not because of a bad weather)….ah, home!

I'm H O M E

note to my dear co-LPś: I’d like to apologize in advance if I not able to visit all your blogs.  I’ve no internet connection.

Yep, you read my title right. This is an entry for Litratong Pinoy that usually is held every Thursday but for this week, we’re doing it this Tuesday.

I certainly am not showing my face since I’m not planning to chase all of you away he he!
