What’s happening in our garden is horrible! We thought that we’re able to control the numbers of snails and slugs but we’re so wrong. Plants we bought and planted few weeks ago are almost eaten up by these pests. They got use to the pet friendly anti snail powder that we scattered, like they are now immuned to it and have come back with revenge. But ont only that, caterpillars are teaming up with them and have been chewing steadily on the plants too. We don’t want to use aggressive powder in our garden since our dog and cats from the neighbors are playing there, we don’t want any of them getting sick, so yes, we feel like we lost the battle to garden pests. For now.
I’m glad I have taken pictures of some flowers in the garden before they were destroyed. *sigh*

The ‘typical Dutch weather’ has set in again. That means it’s cloudy and raining outside, for 2 days now. Just when I was in the mood to take photos outdoor then this happens bhu hu hu!!
And the mood is showing in my photos. I took this Iris picture yesterday. It’s in our garden, one of the few flowers we have… yesterday it was about 2 1/2 days old.

it’s looks sad, isn’t it?
Ok, I know that when you send flowers from most places you’re never really sure what you’re going to get, but with Vogue Flowers you can be sure that you’re getting fresh flowers that will be delivered on time and looking spectacular. I know that there are lots of options to get flowers online, but for me, Vogue Flowers is the only place I can imagine going to when I want the best quality flowers delivered on time.
I saw this beautiful flower in the garden of The Grand Palace in Bangkok Thailand. The second I saw it, I fell in love with it but due to the fact that the Grand Palace was already the 4th tourist spot we hit that day and I was becoming pretty tired, I forgot to ask our tour guide about this flower. I really really want to find out where I can get hold of this flower, probably to take to Holland and breed for our garden.
I tell you it’s unbelievably B E A U T I F U L and unique!

To make my search a bit interesting, for that someone who could give me the correct information and possibly an online link about this flower, I will send you one of these smilies I bought in Thailand (just click the thumbnail for a bigger image), just choose the one you fancy

it’s made of wood.
Thanks,
Thess
NOTE: I am also holding this search on my other blog so this is a first correct info- first served basis.
