This is a flat in Rotterdam that I passby each time we visit the place.
This was shot with iPhone4s and edited on my ipad2. Those gulls were not added but were really flying above my head that day.

Last Monday (April 30) was koninginnedag or queen’s day in Holland. It was a holiday so cities were filled with people. And that’s what my husband and I avoided so we went biking around the city where people were nowhere to be seen. Oh well, 1 or 2 walked pass us by.
This is what I found along the way. I thought of photographing the backside for a change. Whatyathink?
Now that I finally have room to move in my little studio, I can go back doing what I love most. Photography under low light. That means I only allow a teeny weeny bit light to pass through the window. Sure I got sofboxes BUT still my room is too small for those that the challenge of not using them but the window light becomes my favorite during such shoot.
I consider it a good day if I get good lighting from outside, yep, that’s Holland for us bunch here. (Almost) always we get gray-depressive skies. Which prompted me (self-taught) using what I know now. It isn’t crazy at all if at times I give myself a pat on the shoulder when friends and my extremely critique husband find my compositions ‘beautiful’. To them I rely to be better.
Some say photographing flowers on black background is unappealing. It’s the unappealing that gives me challenge. What’s more, I LOVE using black background to make my subjects pop!
Ok, enough self loving there
This is a long overdue photopost ( as you can see on the watermark, the year is 2011 ) anyway, this photo was from inside a cave in Phetchaburi Thailand.
There wasn’t much to see inside the caves but buddhas and relics dating back King Rama IV period.
If you’re intersted to know more about the cave, just consult THIS LINK for more information. Press for time
If only I could skate! hah!
But I can’t, couldn’t, nooooooo. Boo!
So whatelse was there for me to do? Just be content and capture their moments on ice.
This is the beauty of winter especially if it hits below zero, everyone enjoys free skating on frozen canals!
It was great watching these boys last weekend.
It was my first time to see (or watch) ice hockey and I quite enjoyed it. What made it more fun to watch was the fact that it was just a few meters away from our house! Yes, these boys were playing on what usually was a small pond that I usually walked past by. The late cold front from Siberia frozed it up for people to enjoy.
Fun, isn’t it?!
