Sing, Sing A Song | WS # 14

I used to sing every night. In fact few hours every night, seven times a week. But that was few years ago. I was a singer, that was my job and passion.

These days I have to be lucky to find a time to sing. I must admit that I do miss it but when there’s so much work that needs to be done, I can’t even think of singing.

How I wish I can sing again..with all gusto. But what about you, do you like to sing?

This is my Samson GTrack Microphone, just waiting for me to use again.

LIFE sometimes is like a maze

maze.png<

Note: Life sometimes is like a maze, complex system of paths or tunnels in which it is easy to get lost. Have you ever felt at times that you’re in maze? That no matter how hard you try to reach the end of the tunnel, the more it gets harder to find it…

But what is life without a maze? Without the challenges?

See you next year! | WS entry #13

I was referring to our Christmas tree which I dismantled this afternoon. Every year when I do that, I always get a mixture of feelings. That Christmas is over. That I will have to wait for another +11 months to see the tree again. I’m already missing the lights and ornaments.

On the other other I’m also relieved that the tree is gone because it’s taking a big part of our small living room. Now it’s back to normal around our living room.

What about you, have you already taken your tree down?

ERASMUS Bridge | Weekend Snapshot #12

This is the ERASMUS Bridge in Rotterdam, beautiful in the evening.

This was taken after my husband and myself had dinner with friends. Camera which was used was mine but it was my friend Kees who took this photo. Positioning the camera on top of a pole for a steady shot.

more information:

Rotterdam is the second largest municipality in the Netherlands after the capital, Amsterdam by population size, and the largest city in the province of Zuid-Holland (South Holland). The port of Rotterdam is the largest in Europe and was the world’s busiest port from 1962 to 2004, until it was overtaken by Shanghai. Rotterdam is situated on the banks of the river Nieuwe Maas (‘New Meuse’), one of the channels in the delta formed by the Rhine and Meuse rivers. The name Rotterdam derives from a dam in the Rotte river.

A Weekend of Music….and some WS 11

Near our place is a small shopping mall which is smaller than a football field. So small that you can cover it in less then 10 minutes. I think it’s pathetic but I’m at least glad that it has shops that cater to our daily needs. The next big mall is in the city where I have to travel 20 minutes just to go there.

Anyway, our little mall has hired a choir to sing Christmas jingles to the shoppers and I of course listened (to 2 songs)..Bravo! just what we needed…’really can feel Christmas in the air.

at the other part of the mall however, was this Santa on bike who was singing the saddest songs I have ever heard. When I shot this picture, he was singing FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST! Can you imagine that? I really think this Santa was heartbroken…I just wish his Christmas wont be as sad as hings songs.

Wordless Wednesday…check it out and all participants here

short description:

See on the left side that says the meat was undercooked (or undergrilled)…this was served to me when husband and I dined out one night. We saw this ‘Mediterranean Grill’ restaurant that was looking okay from the outside and the menu was also posted by the door. We thought: ‘hmm, expensive but ok,

pork meat was raw, beef was rotten (it was smelly!) and even the onions were raw.

this grill-o-crap cost Euro22,00.
