Don’t you sometimes find how amazing our world is? What wonderful things God has created just for us to enjoy! If I think of the still unexplored areas of lands and water that man hasn’t touched yet, it gets me pretty excited thinking of the secrets they keep, when will they be shared with me, with us?

Anyway, this leaf was a sample of my ‘little’ excitement. Seeing it up close and more clearer after post processing this image. I had to smile when I saw those fine hair on the leaf surface. We were cleaning out weeds that morning but before cutting them, I decided to take out my camera when I saw water droplets all over the greens. And the outcome did not disappoint me. Amazing how the fiber-like-hairs control the tiniest droplets of water.

Before I end this, I wish to apologize to you folks who are regular droppers on my (ex) entrecard and spot buyers. Unfortunately I received an email from them telling me that they deleted it. No warning whatsoever, which is fine by me since they own it. Along with my account they also deleted 1,400+ worth of credits. Only I wish they will change such act and rather send warning first or however you call it, so that users can at least warn those who order spots from them. A sign of respect. The reason they gave me is because ‘they do not support other languages but english’.
Sad that they have such policy. Sad that they only zoomed in on my previous entry where I had to use my beloved language. Sad that they based their decision only on my previous entry. Sad that they did not bother to check that + 90% of my entry is in English language.

Between entrecard and using my own language, there’s no competition. I will always choose my language. But will I ever use entrecard again? Why not? I think it’s one cool way to let other people advertise for free on my blog eventhough I seldom buy spots from other bloggers. But probably, I will re-apply before the years ends. Or probably not. C’est la vie!

Have a great weekend, yah all!

Remember Alf? That talkative, obnoxious (at times), funny, lovable alien who was adopted by a loving family, accepted him as one of them?
I remember back in the 80’s, my siblings and I were allowed in the evening to watch him before we call it a night. As kids, we’d usually fight for the remote control for tv programs but when it comes to Alf, we were in harmony. Ah those were the days! ‘Wish I was a child again whose only concern is when to eat, play, watch tv and sleep!
My husband’s got this tiny Alf toy which he forgot about and I found it clipped on the curtain in his office. I just thought I’d play with it using my lens baby and +4 macro lens…it was fun looking at Alf via the viewfinder. Made me smile and recall those crazy tv program days we enjoyed!

Over the weekend we had activities which I really planned on posting photos for this week’s WS. But at the last minute I decided to rather post my first ever Iris (pic) that bloomed in our garden. As always, the first bloom during spring time is what I’m always waiting for but due to the number of garden snails, I thought we would not have any Irises this year. The past year we scattered powder on the ground to kill the snails and slugs. But no matter how destructive these are, we really don’t want to kill them but just forbid them from leaving eaten plants and flowers behind.

This year’s powder (we’re using a different one, environmentally and pet friendly) seems to be working fine because I don’t see any slime indicating their visit. Rather I saw just a lone snail eating a pit that fell from a plant (this is my other WS entry, by the way)

Here’s my first Iris bloom before the rain almost destroyed it.

Scientists and other experts say that there are still so many living organisms & creatures out there, especially deep in the ocean that we haven’t seen, all pretty much unknown to men. Each time when I watch Discovery Channel Europe -their programs never cease to amaze me. Some people say that television only brings violence and bad news…well I have to make an exemption for this wonderful program.

BUT it isn’t only in the deep water that we find ‘unknown’ creatures.

I found one in our backyard. Unknown, well at least to me, as I’ve never seen a purple colored caterpillar (or is it?) before.

its purple back….

and its grayish front…if you click this 2nd image, you might see it ’smiling’ at you!
