I can’t help but be amazed at this 14-year old Filipina, Charize Pampengco…she’s got this unbelievable voice. Such volume for a child! I only can laugh at the reaction of the Koreans watching her performing during a television contest. Makes me oh sooo proud of being a Filipina!

I have showed this video to some of my ducth friends and they all had the same reaction: “This isn’t true, that video was doctored because no child can ever sound like that!” *LMAO!* That’s Filipino talent to you, folks!

What do you get when you have a companion who always wants to be in front of the camera? Well, this is what I got! I was aiming at the post (sign) when out of nowhere, there he was! shameless!!

Whenever Charlie sees me holding a camera, he’d get in front (in this case, back) of my target and well…he’s just a willing model. Anyday, anytime, anywhere. But I’m not complaining, I love it when he does that!

On the music side, last year I was surprised when I saw and heard this dutch singer performing live on the television. I had to take a closer look because I thought I was seeing things wrong, either his piano was placed higher on the podium or he’s pretty small. It was the latter. He’s pretty unknown then but I guess that performance made him a big man. I mean BIG! Roel Van Velzen is ’small but terrible!’ I say this with all positive admiration. Everyone, please meet Rene, our resident frog. I got lucky one particular afternoon when he emerged from our tiny fish pond to feed. I was so happy to see him! I mean really see him.. Just look at those gorgeous eyes!

I named him Rene which was after a dutch singer named Rene Froger (click the audio to hear him)
