Springtime isn’t only for us people here in Holland to enjoy. It is also for the likes of him (or her) to come out and feast on others, literally.
I took this photo last year around the same time. I was at the back of the house trying to find a subject when this small spider caught my attention. It probably took me a good ten minutes just to get a few shots because he was so sensitive to my movements that he kept on crawling away. My patience won, or he just gave up because he really was pretty hungry.
Garden snail or Helix aspersa, which I found this morning attached to a wood. I’m not quite sure what that thing is behind it, it wasn’t soft but hard. This little fellow was escaping the rising sun. Time to go back to where it’s dark.

Scientists and other experts say that there are still so many living organisms & creatures out there, especially deep in the ocean that we haven’t seen, all pretty much unknown to men. Each time when I watch Discovery Channel Europe -their programs never cease to amaze me. Some people say that television only brings violence and bad news…well I have to make an exemption for this wonderful program.
BUT it isn’t only in the deep water that we find ‘unknown’ creatures.
I found one in our backyard. Unknown, well at least to me, as I’ve never seen a purple colored caterpillar (or is it?) before.
its purple back….

and its grayish front…if you click this 2nd image, you might see it ’smiling’ at you!

My second macro ‘model’. I took this photo last Saturday (Aug. 11, ‘07 ) and I just couldn’t clean my window because of him, or her. I might need it for the next photo shoot. *LoL!*
It’s as small as a cotton bud’s tip.
