I actually have no idea for the title of this entry so I just used the first word that came to my mind. We’re deprived again by natural light (too gray and rainy outside) thus I’ve to content myself finding something to shoot from inside our home.

Happy WS everyone…and I hope you’ll all have a great week ahead!

SPIN (Dutch) This wasn’t taken this weekend though (I’ve explained why HERE) But I still want to participate in this week’s WS.
I don’t have an idea which type of a spider this was. I just saw it hanging upside down in one corner of the living room.

I have waited for the sun to shine but this weekend we only had gray sky. Thus I only have these night shots of tulips to share on this WS entry.
This type of tulips is called Fringed Tulips or alternatively called Crispa Tulips which I find quite beautiful! I like those ’spikes’ on the petals.

My entry for this weekend. Wij noemen ze Meerkoet (Fulica Atra) (english: we call them water chicken, though they are far from looking like chicken, I think.) Most striking feature of this birds are their red burning eyes. They look like chicken of Dracula?
Together with ducks they populate most Dutch ponds especially this time of the year when they need to pair off with each other. I tell you Spring Time is the busiest time on the ponds.
Here she was, basking in the sun enjoying the warmth when suddenly….

when a male waterkip spots her and starts to chase her….

then suddenly…..here they are…future mom and dad

I feel like a Peeping Tom at times when this happens and sometimes it still can shock me *lol* ….but I consider this a bonus when I’m shooting….the wonder of nature *tee hee*
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

I was inside our car when I took these photos. The light was still red and while waiting, those bunch of flowers caught my eyes so I asked my husband if somebody died on that spot. That’s usually the case when you see flowers laid like this.

Surely, last Friday night a delivery mini bus crashed against that thick pole. The driver was killed.

May his soul rest in peace. Please take a minute of your time to pray for his soul.

The following photos were rather taken not this weekend but 2 weeks ago, when my little family and friends took a weekend break and rented 2 rooms in a hotel nearby the North sea.
These beautiful horses and ponies were all tamed and for the hotel guests to admire. That day they also had a Horse Parade on the beach but the hotel horses were not part of it.

I liked this one, simply beautiful!

If only I can have this pony, cute little thing.

some of the horses at the parade…

my friend J whose jacket was being chewed by the pony.
