Is there hope?

Every weekend my husband and I would go to the next city to enjoy our time together. Normally we would first grab lunch at our favorite Chinese wok restaurant which is our favorite weekend restaurant. While my husband was ordering our food one day, I was seated on our table waiting for him to come back when someone caught my eyes. It was a beautiful lady with such gorgeous eyes I have ever seen. But she seemed so shy that she hardly raised her face to look at people around her. I then noticed the back of her head. It was rather balding.

I felt so sorry for the beautiful lady. As a woman, I understand how she must have been feeling. Unlike men, going bald is never an issue but with us women, well that’s a different story. The norm is that women have to have beautiful hair because after all, we believe that it’s out crowning glory. No woman wants to go bald, except those who are under chemotherapy or are sick. It’s unthinkable what balding women are going through, the humiliation, pain, and I believe this can even cause depression. I just wish that this beautiful lady can find some help because she deserves to be happy and not be burden by hair loss.. hair restoration for women can restore a full head of hair. After all times have changed and problems like this is easier to talk about and thus help is just waiting for those who needs it.

Last night, my husband and I ventured the cold temperature to go to the city for this years Christmas Market. Unfortunately we were left disappointed as our night started out with a very bad dinner in a Mediterranean grill restaurant with a turtle pacing service. For our starter we had to wait 45 minutes and when it finally came, I almost wept because it was pure garbage (I’m sorry, but this is a rant entry, have I warned you already?)

It says in the menu that for Euro11,00 (E1 =$1,66 as of this writing) you’ll get big gambas (shrimps) grilled in olive oil and special sauce. After 45 minutes it finally arrived , and on my dish, I got around 6 tiny pieces (different sizes) of shrimps in tomato sauce and a dab of olive oil. And I’ve also tasted soap in the sauce. Not a tiny squeek from me and my husband. Then another 45 minutes passed by, finally my mix-meat-grill in a skewer arrived and lo and behold, everything was raw! the tiny beef piece was bad smelling and bloody, a piece of pork was bloody (about 2 pieces of each) and loads of red onion pieces in between. This was for Euro 21,00.

My husband and I paid Euro50,00 for a horrible dinner ..already from this amount, my skewer was deducted when the waitress saw I hardly touched it, fortunately she was ashamed of what has happened and offered to deduct the price…hah! if that happened in the US I think she’d lose her head from the client’s bite! But since my husband is the calm type, never will complain…simply paid the waitress and even wished her a pleasant evening.

So can you imagine how expensive to have a lousy dinner in this part of the world.

the restaurant was masked from the outside..it has a lovely window that entices people walking pass it…but inside…

“Don’t be afraid!”

“Don’t be afraid to TAKE A BATH!”

I sometimes want to scream at people I meet on the streets or in the supermarket. Why?

Because they stink!!

I can totally understand when it comes to the elders that aren’t ‘flexible’ anymore, bathing can be difficult. But for Pete’s sake, sometimes the elders smell better than the younger ones! Do they think that nobody can smell them just because it’s winter and the air is cold? I really really hate it when I’m standing by the cashier sandwiched by people who loathe bathing.

I think it isn’t just about hygiene that is neglected here, but respect for others as well.

Just how in hell?!

Recent news in Belgium, I forgot which city …but a very very smart mayor has come up with a very very smart idea:

Anybody who is letting his dog out MUST clean up after his dog. Here’s the big question.
