the world from behind her camera
Daisies, on low light.
Now that I finally have room to move in my little studio, I can go back doing what I love most. Photography under low light. That means I only allow a teeny weeny bit light to pass through the window. Sure I got sofboxes BUT still my room is too small for those that the challenge of not using them but the window light becomes my favorite during such shoot.
I consider it a good day if I get good lighting from outside, yep, that’s Holland for us bunch here. (Almost) always we get gray-depressive skies. Which prompted me (self-taught) using what I know now. It isn’t crazy at all if at times I give myself a pat on the shoulder when friends and my extremely critique husband find my compositions ‘beautiful’. To them I rely to be better.
Some say photographing flowers on black background is unappealing. It’s the unappealing that gives me challenge. What’s more, I LOVE using black background to make my subjects pop!
Ok, enough self loving there
