the world from behind her camera
Mr. Blue
Visiting pet shops is what I like to do the most. Well, that’s next to visiting electronics shops
But when Charlie (our pug) and fishes’ supplies are almost low, I would always make a trip to the nearest pet shop. It’s a very small shop with few birds in cages, rabbits, mice, and an aquarium full of sweet water fishes. I like looking at the animals, could stay there just happily watching them, only leaving when the owner starts giving me a ‘look’.
Although I said that I like watching the animals, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I like watching the birds especially in cages. I think birds belong to the skies. They deserveĀ their freedom. Years ago we adopted a canary of a friend’s mother when the latter passed away. I would have released the yellow bird to the wild if it had the chance to survive, but I knew there was a nul chance of that so we took care of it until it decided to ‘leave’ us. Funny and smart little birdy he was.
Anyhow, this was a blue belgian rabbit that I saw during a visit to another petshop. It was my first time to see such beautiful blue colored-fur rabbit! If it wasn’t expensive having animals at home, I really wouldn’t mind having one. Beautiful animal, isn’t he?! When I was a young child, I remember feeding my grandmother’s rabbits, I loved giving them carrots, cabbage, fruits…sweet furry huggable animals really. But I must admit rabbits are nothing like dogs which you can have a connection and interaction with. Perhaps it’s also good that we couldn’t afford to take another pet…I would have liked to play with it just like I do with Charlie.
I’m not an expert about rabbits but if you would like to read about them, perhaps this link is for you.
