Let’s go inside the Colosseum (061)
Mar 3rd
I’m postimg more than 1 photo for my project 365 this time.
They’re all clickable to enlarge.
Photo on top: A cross that would greet you upon entering the ground area of the Colosseum. Would have loved to shoot it without anyone standing there though… More >
Rome Colosseum (part 2)
Mar 2nd

First photo was taken while I was seated just in front of the Colosseum. Coming straight from the aiport, we just dropped our luggages in the hotel and immediately walked here. I was so impressed I just wanted to sit there until it gets dark. Which we did due to my request to my husband that I also want to capture it in the evening. So while waiting…yes, I just sat there and look…and look….

and sometimes would stand up, walk around and capture parts that I didn’t want to forget..such as this 2nd shot (faulty camera setting, argh!) anyhow, can you see how they constructed the arches? geniaal!

This 3rd shot was taken while I was at the top of a double decker bus (on our second day on the way to the Vatican.) See the outer wall? Just a small piece of it was left. It’s a shame that a big part of it was broken down and that the said parts were stolen to build houses and buildings around Rome. It also seems riddled with holes, that’s because the lead metals which were connecting the arches (also supporting the building) were stolen..leaving ‘holey’ memories.
here’s a short video I made with my camera..
Getting back in shape.

* To Wii or Not to Wii, that is the question* (060)
Guess who’s working out almost everyday trying to improve her condition, would like to lose the unwanted kilos and most of all would like to fit in her old size medium wardrobe? No not Charlie the Pug silly, but moi! Letting myself go was stupid! I stopped going to the gym, stopped using my pilates machine at home and it’s only my home cross-trainer that I’m still using, only when I’m in the mood. Well I think I found the solution.
Wii Fit! I truly enjoy playing the games! I’m slowly building up my condition in a way that is fun and even putting smile on my face at times. Smiling while exercising, that’s not normal, right? But really I am having fun doing the games. Who knows, I might even fit in my almost forgotten 2-piece swimsuits! That would be nice
And I might even convince my husband to take a romantic cancun vacation this summer! Whoa! Blue water, white sandy beach, wonderful gourmets!
For now, I gotta work double hard for all these wishes to happen. After all, no pain-no gain, agree?
Rome Colosseum, up close (059)
Mar 1st
Welcome March! I hope you brought challenges, loads of good news and surprises with you!
New month means new (and old) photos for this photoblog. I’ll try my best not to post flowers though I still have a bunch on my files. I hope I’ll be given a chance to shoot outside as temperature is slowly rising in Holland, the sun comes out once in a while…oh how I miss the sun! Buhbye winter, I wont be missing you! But rains are also here….*sigh*
From my files, this was taken in Rome December of last year. You don’t see much of the Colosseum shot this close but I always find it interesting to shoot up- close historic and popular attractions like this or this. I was in total awe , jaw dropped, the very first time I saw this impressive Roman architecture. I’ll be sharing other shots of the colosseum, both outside and inside the coming days.
I wish you a fine week!

Really, February 2010 is at its end?!? It was only a few minutes ago when I realized that this month is already ending. That we will NEVER EVER have it back! Can you imagine that?
To end my flower month, I leave you with this yellow beauty. May the start of your week be as vibrant as this flower.

With A Flower
I hide myself within my flower,
That wearing on your breast,
You, unsuspecting, wear me too –
And angels know the rest. More >
Kenny was here (55 & 56)
Feb 26th
I didn’t had time yesterday to publish my photo for my project photo-a-day 365 that’s why today I have two. Numbers 55 and 56.
As I’ve said, this month will be filled with flower uploads. Both photos were taken back in 2008 when my family visited Keukenhof , the famous Dutch gardens of floral display showcased each year, early spring.
It is still close now because it’s still early and well, because of the long winter which we hope to leave us soon. Then the fun at Keukenhof can once again begin!

The second photo isn’t a flower though but my own Charlie, marking everything he found worthy of his scent . Dogs are allowed in the area as long as owners clean up after them when they decide to do number 2.
