Few months ago I was at the Southern part of Thailand and visited (for the nth time) the local market. I love going to this market to buy stuff that I can never find here in Holland. Simply cheaper, authentic and fresher.
This was a stolen shot of two vendors engrossed in their chat.

Have you ever shopped online and gave part of your payment to charity at the same time? Never heard of it before? With www.eengoedezaak.nl this is possible. ‘Een Goede Zaak’ or aGoodCause.com was founded in 2004 by two Danish entrepreneurs, Jonathan Low and Mads Ellegaard with the idea of making it possible to help a good cause for free when shopping online. The companies pay the donations, but you get to decide where the money goes.
By becoming an ‘aidmaker’ you decide to which charity a portion of your shopping money will go to. Simply download the aidmaker program from the website (available for both Window and Mac)
AidMaker is a free program that allows you to make purchases from more than 5,000 online stores such as Apple Store, Amazon and much more. For more details, simply click the link. And by the way, different languages are available so just choose your preferred one.

Happy LP dear friends!
These photos were meant for last week’s Weekend Snapshot as I even went outside just to shoot, but due to my hectic schedule I wasn’t able to join. Anyway, I’d just let the photos speak for themselves.

The only thing about autumn that I like is the changing of green leaves into red, that’s pretty! But the rain and below temperature that come along with it, no thank you.
Do join us at Weekend Snapshot!

Fort Santiago according to Wikipedia:
Fort Santiago (Spanish: Fuerza de Santiago) is a defense fortress built for Spanish conquistador, Miguel López de Legazpi. The fort is part of the structures of the walled city of Intramuros, in Manila, Philippines.
The location of Fort Santiago was once the site of the palace and kingdom of Rajah Sulayman, a Muslim chieftain of pre-hispanic Manila. It was destroyed by the conquistadors upon arriving in 1570, encountering several battles with the Islamic natives. The Spaniards destroyed the native settlements and erected Fuerza de Santiago in 1571.
The first fort was made out of log structures and earth. Most of it was destroyed in the Spanish-Chinese War of (1574-1575), by invaders of Chinese pirates who besieged the area. The Spaniards fought a fierce conflict and eventually drove the pirates out. In 1589 the fort was constructed with hard stone and finished in 1592. It became the main fort for travels and spice trade to the Americas and Europe for 333 years. The famous Manila Galleon trade to Acapulco, Mexico started sailing from Fuerza de Santiago.
