Winter…no sign of letting up! (009)

Winter in this part of Europe is showing no sign of letting up! Instead I think it’s here to stay for quite a while!
Seldom do we get a white Christmas in The Netherlands, but days before Christmas last year, it was white all over so yeah, it was nice. * No need to dream of white Christmas for most of us* BUT it’s still white outside – it’s already the 9th of January!…and temperature is extra cold! brrrrrrrr
So instead of our usual family day in the neighboring city, we’re at home staying warm…and safe. No need to take any risk of getting stuck in sticky situations in this temperature.

Outside it’s cold, slippery, ground is white- sky is gray, wet, and did I say it’s cold already? I have just about enough of this bone chilling winter we’re having right now. My body isn’t really built for this temperature. Thick jackets help. But it isn’t fun walking like the Michelin man around, buh!
Almost all trees are of course bald now, I miss the greens……
Us, having breakfast? (003)

Breakfast is pretty much unheard of in this small family of mine. My husband’s idea of a good hearty meal is dinner time! Yep, both my husband and I are two bloated whales because of this practise. I have tried to convince him to eat breakfast but noooo, he’s just not the type. Would you believe if I tell you that we sit down for breakfast such as this usually on the 2nd day of each new year?! But since we had too much to eat on the eve of Jan. 1 , we had to skip Jan. 2nd breakfast. But this morning it happened, lol! Oh yeah, we also sit down for breakfast during vacations! I don’t know why but that’s the only time you’ll see my husband eating breakfast. What about me? Now I’m just like him, I skip breakfast because it’s just not fun eating alone. 
On other note, I am going to attempt to upload at least a-photo-day and file them under ‘Project 2010′ . It’s the 3rd day so…wish me luck! I hope to make it on the last day of 2010! 
Droplets (microphotography – 001)

Few months ago I attempted to try microphotography by using water droplets. I didn’t know exactly what to do but just followed my instinct. I have this wonderful photographer on my Flickr account list of friends and he’s a genius when it comes to microphotography. I love his works!
At first I used marco filters on my sigma 105mm but I wasn’t impressed (by the cheap filters 
) I thought of capturing them really close. But this shot with all 5 roplets satisfied me.
Gotta practise ..gotta practise!
Regalo sa araw-araw (LP 85)

Ang maimulat ko ang aking mga mata sa umaga, humihinga, nasa piling ng mahal ko sa buhay ay ang mga bagay na pinasasalamatan ko sa Panginoon sa araw-araw. Regalong buhay. At mabuhay ng mapayapa. Para sa akin ay karapat-dapat lang na magbigay papuri sa Kanya.
At ang higit sa lahat, ang pinakaimportanteng regalong natanggap ko ay ang Anak na si Jesus na ibinuwis alang-alang sa isang makasalanan na tulad ko.
Ang makita ng aking mga mata ang ganitong kagandang likha ng Panginoon…wow! regalong super! Isa pang magandang regalo ay ‘birthday’ ko sa darating na pasko, sa araw na ito noong 1994 ako ay na-water-baptized.
