Pinaka POGIng PUG sa buong mundo! (LP 150: alagang hayop)

* after I groomed him I’ve decided to take the chance for this week’s LP challenge. this was a quick shot…all I had on my camera was my macro lens plus there was no room for me to move..otherwise he’d become impatient and would walk away. he’s told me he’ll give me just a few seconds to compose..so there*
I would glady do this theme every week! Lol! 
Alagang hayop (pet)
Sa susunod na buwan ay birthday nya, June 10 to be exact. Magiging 7 taong gulang na sya. Hindi ko maituturing na ‘pet’ lang si Charlie dahil para sa akin, isa syang maliit na tao na mukhang aso Kakaiba ang pagmamahal ng aso. LAHAT ibinibigay nya sa tao. Lahat ng pagmamahal nya, walang labis, walang kulang. Maaring ang iba sa inyo ay hindi ito mauunawaan lalo na kung ang aso ninyo ay nakakadena o nakahawla. Ang mga nabanggit ko ang matataguriang pet. Si Charlie ay parte ng aming pamilya. Malaya sya sa aming buong kabahayan. Dahil sa lagi syang nililinis (at sya mismo ay ayaw ng marumi sya) kaya mula ng maliit pa lang syang tuta ay pinabayaan na namin syang maglagi sa loob ng bahay. Hindi sya dumudumi o umiihi sa loob kundi sa labas lamang. Sanay na sya na hinuhugasan ang kanyang mga paa matapos syang mamasyal sa labas. Wala din syang sinisira na kasangkapan kaya nagagawa namin syang iwan ng ilang oras kung kinakailangan. Uupo lamang sya sa unang baytang ng hagdanan upang doon kami ay hintayin.
Kagaya ng isang bata, tampok sya ng usapan naming mag-asawa sa araw-araw na lamang. Hindi kami nagsasawa pag usapan ang mga bagay na ipinapakita at ipinapadama niya sa amin.
Madami akong gusto ikwento tungkol sa kanya kaya lang baka ma bored lang kayo. Ang tanging masasabi ko lang ay sana pakamamahalin nyo ang inyong mga alagang hayop. Kagaya natin, nakakaramdam sila ng lungkot, saya, takot, pagmamahal. Likha sila ng Diyos ng kailangan din nating irespeto.

Yesterday morning as I was busy doing daily chores, those eyes caught mine. He was lying oh so satisfied in his bed, relaxed, or I should say tired, from playing his SinterKlaas kado , that soft ball next to him.
I knew I had to capture the moment because there was also a beautiful natural light coming from the window…which by the way I usually do not get from this gray skies of Holland, fortunately outside was still blanketed with snow and reflection was gorgeous.
He was actually sleeping by the time I got my camera so I had to call his name and on that cue….
My husband wants me to use this photo as Christmas card design…what do you think? I’m not so crazy about using it for that.

While waiting for my husband to come home from visiting my father in law, I decided to bring Charlie upstairs in my small office/ studio. I wanted to practise portraiture and lighting.
With this session I used an old gift wrapping paper as background and a single lamp focused on Charlie’s left side. RAW mode shooting. And played further by doing a B&W and sepia tones.
6 na sya! (LP 107: Numero)

Late ang LP entry ko this week kasi nasa computer hospital pa rin ang laptop ko pati files ng photos 
Kaya nagpasya na lang ako na linisin ang aking opisina slash mini studio slash exercise room na rin. Mayroong desktop sa kuartong yun pero pang trabaho lang at kung maari ay hindi ko gagamitin pang online activities. kaso binigyan ako ng idea ng ‘anak’ ko habang nakikiusyoso sya sa paglilinis ko!
Kasama sa paglilinis ko ay ang pag set-up ng softbox na nabili ko sa eBay. 2 ang ilaw ko pero isa lang muna ang binili ko para subukan kung maganda ang kwalidad nito. Imbes na maghanap ako ng pisikal na numero (papel o kahon na may numero) para kuhanan ng larawan ay si Charlie- usisero ang ipinatong ko sa kahon, tinapatan ng mga ilaw at presto, ang aking modelo para sa challenge ng LP!
Palagay ko sadyang si CHARLIE talaga ang nakalaang maging topic/ entry pic ko sa Huwebes na ito. Bakit kamo? Kasi ay malapit na ang kanyang ika ANIM (6) na kaarawan! Ito ay sa ika 10 ng Hunyo. Ilang taon ba sa edad ng tao kung 6 sa aso?
Anyhowkalabaw, ito ang kinalabasan ng aming eksperimento. Palibhasa ay napakaliit ng aking kuarto (sabihin ko kaya sa asawa ko na lumipat kami ng bahay? he he) kaya kung napapansin nyo ang softbox ay malapit sa kanya (makikita ang reflection sa mata) at sa kabilang mata naman ay makikita ang ilaw na walang softbox kaya medyo ‘harsh’ ang tama ng ilaw samantalang ‘soft’ ang kaliwang parte.
Sa itaas na litrato ay medyo inis sya kasi nakapatong sya sa may kataasan na box at gustong bumaba na. Sabi ko ‘zit’ (sit) muna sya. Umupo nga kaso lalong pumangit dahil nakasimangot! Saka malalaman na inis sya kapag flat ang ulo at walang wrinkles! E di syempre kailangan magbago facial expression nya, bah, umaandar ang oras sa studio di ba? ha ha!
Solusyon? Simple lang. Kapag tinatanong sya ng “Waar is papa?” (where is dad?) o kaya ay “Waar is mama?” (where is mom?) ay lumalabas ang kanyang softer facial expression! Wala pa syang 1 year old ay alam na nyang few words na yan at ngayong almost 6 years old na sya ay sadyang marami syang mga salitang naiintindihan. Minsan ay napapakamot kami ng ulo dahil para syang tao. sayang at hindi sya nakakapagsalita, kundi tyak ang saya siguro lalo!
Ang haba na. Sana naman ay nagustuhan nyo ang aking LP entry. Huli man daw ay cute pa rin

More project 365 backlog! The practical side of me says; you dont need to fret about not uploading backlog photos…everything’s fine. But the OC in me says: you have to upload photos corresponding to days you didn’t blog!

092, he wasn’t able to have his breakfast that morning (meaning I and my husband having sausage brood…we weren’t in the mood that morning to have any) Charlie my pug acted like it was the end of the world! Really angry and sad at the same time…

We were back from our weekend getaway..or I should say, Charlie’s vacation because we chose this hotel where dogs are allowed as guests. It was in the Southern part of Holland and walking distance from the sea (Northsea.) Before heading back home (and after a heavy breakfast) we decided to walk a few kilometres..eventhough the cold wind was unforgiving..brrrr
I asked my husband (who doesn’t like holding a camera..my exact opposite, bleh! ) to please take some photos of me with Charlie..

I was not able to upload my photo-of- the- day yesterday (project 365) thus I uploaded 2 today. Featuring my housemates.
Gray-bearded-almost-6-years-old Charlie. The family Prince. And I mean that. What he wants, he gets! Well, from my husband who really reeeeeeeaaallly spoils Charlie. Did you know at night I am not allowed to sit on the couch beside my husband? because that’s Charlie’s spot. For the past almost 6 years!
And no, I ‘m not complaining….that much. Lol!
Getting back in shape.

* To Wii or Not to Wii, that is the question* (060)
Guess who’s working out almost everyday trying to improve her condition, would like to lose the unwanted kilos and most of all would like to fit in her old size medium wardrobe? No not Charlie the Pug silly, but moi! Letting myself go was stupid! I stopped going to the gym, stopped using my pilates machine at home and it’s only my home cross-trainer that I’m still using, only when I’m in the mood. Well I think I found the solution.
Wii Fit! I truly enjoy playing the games! I’m slowly building up my condition in a way that is fun and even putting smile on my face at times. Smiling while exercising, that’s not normal, right? But really I am having fun doing the games. Who knows, I might even fit in my almost forgotten 2-piece swimsuits! That would be nice 
And I might even convince my husband to take a romantic cancun vacation this summer! Whoa! Blue water, white sandy beach, wonderful gourmets!
For now, I gotta work double hard for all these wishes to happen. After all, no pain-no gain, agree?
