D A N I E L L E . MY second Blythe OOAK. Yay!
She’s a sweet little girl. o(^▽^)o I really like her original purple-pink hair. Working on her wasn’t that difficult, I guess I was a bit faster this time…more sure of what I was doing. BUT I still have a lot to learn in customizing. For now I am happy with this kind of face-up, simple..no crazy styling.
This afternoon I have given 2 dolls earholes and I might just do that to Danielle as well. Anyway, what I’ve done for Danielle:
Opening of head carefully, scalp removal.
Sand-matted her face
Lips curved.
Gaze corrected.
Nose given holes.
Curved philtrum.
Sightly opened her eyes socket. Didn’t want to overdo it.
New eyelashes.
2 New set of eyeschips by coolcat. I both love the 2 sets!
Airbrushed eyelid with gold-purple combination.
Sealed her face by airbrushing it with a special matte varnish (German made.)
I am not totally done yet, like I mentioned earlier, she’ll get her ears pierced too.

Gabrielle. My first customized-work Blythe. My husband gave her the name (^0^)
Because I really wanted to get rid of my Blythe dolls shiny faces, I had no choice but to learn how to customize them myself. There are so many customize experts out there who for a fee would be happy to give Blythe dolls a face up. I even asked an artist to do my doll but since I have several dolls now, I just couldn’t afford to have them all serviced. Solution? Me doing it and I think I really can…
What you see is the before and after work that I’ve done. I am still waiting for a pack of mohair that I ordered from the USA to reroot on her scalp though.
Works I’ve done:
Opening of head carefully, scalp removal.
Sand-matted.
Lips curved
Nose given holes.
Curved philtrum.
Sightly opened her eyes socket. Didn’t want to overdo it. Not too ‘boggled’.
Slightly curved chin.
New eyelashes.
2 New eyeschips by coolcat.
Airbrushed eyelid with the same lips color.
Sealed her face by airbrushing it with a special matte varnish (German made.)
I now fully understand why ‘facing up’ / customizing cost €€$$ …it really is the amount of work to be done to the dolls and TIME that is so expensive. My airbrush sure isn’t cheap, paints, and all paraphernalia that I’m using. It sure costed me time and sweat, lol as this was the first original Blythe that I’ve done. I actually practiced first on a Blythe clone, she also turned out okay.
My next doll gets her head to be opened in a while…I’m excited to give her a new look!
4 Blythes + Basaak

I had a chance to take them all out the dolls cabinet earlier for this quick shot, well actually I took a number of shots just to try out all my girls seated next to each other…and here was one shot that I chose.
From left to right: Prairie Poser, Simply Chocolate, Cinnamon, Simply Vanilla with a wig and a Basaak which I’ll use to practise on come winter.
I hope to find more time the coming days , and of course I also hope it’ll be sunny, so that I can take them out more for some shoot (^0^)

Meet JULIA (redhead) and Brigitte ( blue haired ) ..these are 2 of my Blythe dolls which I took out this afternoon at the back of the house and well…were placed up on the pear tree for this shot!
I adore Julia’s freckles and I really like Brigitte’s blue wig. yes it’s a wig as she’s actually got a short blonde hair.
Simply Vanilla Blythe. Renamed Ginger.

Yesterday afternoon, just after the sun got cooler, I brought my 3 Blythe dolls out to the garden and had fun photographing my girls. The only non-fun part of it was whenever I tried to make them stand, sit, or hold something!
Because they are not meant to stand on their own – heads are too big and heavy, of course, I was making them sit on bikes and motorcycle a tad too small for them too and since they do not have moveable joints on their fingers, they hardly can hold anything.
But there is Ginger, holding a banana (snacking on it) with a bottle of coke cola on the side and sitting on her bike! Have we succeeded or not?
Lol!

She’s my second Blythe. Meet Tessa, my baby brunette Blythe. In this pictorial I had no choice but to use stock of my Monster High doll because the original clothing of this Blythe isn’t really that nice. I think it came out quite well. I simply brushed her hair after taking her out of the box and changed her cloth…she was already ready for a pictorial! (^0^) Oh and by the way, I placed some zwarovski crystals on her hair too.
