Yes, you're are right by saying this is done by mean-spirited folks. SABINEM: I don't think people fell off together with their bikes on the banks, otherwise they would retrieve their properties as well. More like stolen bikes that no longer 'feed' the thieves' appetite. They are being collected periodically and brought in for recycling. RACHEL: a shame yes. Thanks for the visit! ZSU: along with China, The Netherlands has bike lanes because biking has been the easiest form of transport to both short and long distance travels. Dutch people love to bike, and the lanes make it safe to do it here. No, they aren't all cheap but hot item to steal.
